Images from the Martin family going away service and BBQ are online for your viewing pleasure. I do not have email addresses for all the people featured in these images so please please feel free to share this link with people you see in the images if you have their contact info. I have enabled FREE downloading of full size images so that you can have the digital files for your family use. Just hover your mouse over any image and a ‘file’ icon will appear, click the icon and you can save the full image file. I have also enabled the shopping cart function for anyone that wants to get professional prints done and have them directly shipped to their home. Please know that ALL proceeds from sales of images will go directly to the Martin Family- so while I enabled the free downloads and you don’t have to buy anything, you can and thereby bless an awesome family! Also- If I did not take your picture but you were there that weekend I am truly sorry, I made every effort to include everyone without being completely obtrusive in peoples activities and conversations. New Portrait Lighting!

This week my new photography lighting arrived! It has been so very fun to play with, I just need to carve out more than 10mins at a time so I can get really comforatble with it all 
Pictured below you’ll find me with my new gear, one of the first pictures I took with the lighting (before I turned down the power) and then a few of Bayus once I started getting the settings closer to right. As you can tell I don’t have backdrops and such set up yet, right now I’m just getting comfortable with my camera settings in combination with my new lighting and their settings. Its a fun learning curve to be working with strobes finally
Dawn

If you didn’t know, my middle name is Dawn. This picture captures for me both the literal moment of dawn but also the figurative reality of my life right now. I feel like I’m looking at new horizons and new possibilities. New days break open everyday. New goals, new possibilities, new adventures…..I greet the unknown with open arms. For anyone wondering what is ‘going on’ in my life to inspire this picture let me say number one ‘just ask me’ and for a hint…..I officially registered for a triathlon in August today that I’ve been planning and training for months already. I’m so excited!

Sunday marked another year ending and beginning in my life as a woman, wife, and mother Many wonderful things filled the day including purple streamers hung all over the kitchen before I woke up by my dear daughter (with a little help from daddy but it was all her idea), angel food cake with fruit from my mother so we could celebrate with the kids before we dropped them off for an all day and overnight with grandma, and then lots of fun with just me and Eddie. We had dinner out in Seattle and woke before sunrise on Monday to take some pictures I’ve had mulling around in my head for awhile. We finished out with breakfast out together at a local place called ‘The Homestead’ (which was wonderful), before Eddie headed off to work and I went and picked up the kids from grandma. It was all wonderful, a truly wonderful birthday!
